Don't forget to complete and submit your ReadWorks passages by the end of tomorrow to receive full credit for your homework this week. Also, we will have a short quiz on figurative language at the start of the period tomorrow. Review your practice passage from today and see below for more practice resources!
Welcome to Week 4! I have assigned a set of paired texts on our ReadWorks classroom for the week. Each article is followed by a set of comprehension questions (multiple choice and short answer), which you will answer online.
If you have not yet joined the classroom, you will need to follow the instructions in last week's post before you can complete the homework. If you are having trouble joining the classroom but do not want to get behind, please come to me for help, and under special circumstances, I can print the article set for you.
Happy Friday! I told parents at Open House that I would email out the Power Point, but I do not yet have that capability, so I am posting it here. Please help spread the word that it is posted for all to see. Thanks!
We will use ReadWorks throughout the year for in-class reading comprehension practice, as well as for homework passages. Due Date: No deduction

Please be sure you join our Google Classroom! The name is 7-1 Language Arts and the code to joinis 8aucgm. I will frequently post classwork assignments here in order to save paper and to allow students to complete their work on a device at school. Students are able to "comment" on my posts (this is where they will submit work), but will not be able to post anything themselves.
