WEEK OF OCT.15-
We continue to read and analyze Lyddie-focusing on Lyddie's character and how the plot or setting changes who she is. Here is a rundown of the week:
Mon-Review ch 5 Reader's notes and will review Lyddie and what is motivating her. We want to better understand Lyddie and why she wants to work at the mill. We will continue this process into ch..6 as well and also analyze her interactions with Ezekial. Students will be partnering up and finding words/phrases that help them understand how character feels and why he/she act a certain way.
Homework-Complete Reader's Notes and read chapter 7
Tues-QUIZ on chapters 6-7. We will then enter into class discussion regarding Lyddie and really analyze who she is. (All of Mon and Tues lesson will help with class assignment that will be a quiz grade)
Homework-be sure that student is keeping up with figurative language and characteristic chart...found in their google classroom
Wed-we transition into working conditions...what are they? I will have students watch a clip that will help us "see" what this may look like. We will then be collecting evidence in text on these working conditions. (Also a previous lesson in workbook that detailed the categories that we will be looking for in novel...so use workbook as a reference.)
Homework- be sure that student is keeping up with figurative language and characteristic chart...make sure that ch 8 and readers notes are completed
