Powerschools has been updated-humidity and weather brainpops. Humidity/weather brainpop quiz. Water cycle crossword/kahoot or 3D model classwork grade. Homework this week: complete the air pressure and front practice sheet and the weather equipment sheet started lastweek during stations. Additionally, complete this week’s brainpop on wind. Send the classic/graded quiz to me by Wednesday. Thursday all 7/1 students will be taking their second 2nd quarter interpreting data quiz that will assess each student's ability to use and apply given information on graphs/diagrams/charts. Classwork for the week: Monday-air mass and wind webquest for direct instruction. Tuesday-introduction to weather station models and whole group review of topics to date. Wednesday/Thursday-stations with a new focus on global winds/weather station models. Interpreting data quiz will be worked into station rotation since the week is shorten. Since 2nd quarter covers a significant amount of information on the atmosphere and weather, please continue to use these suggested review resources to support your learning. 7.E.1.1 Compare the composition, properties and structure of Earth’s atmosphere to include: mixtures of gases and differences in temperature and pressure within layers properities: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6G94u2w8OoQ 9mins Layers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CibvtVMTA2E 3:17 mins composition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmuLP1jLGSg 22 seconds pollution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11oawjSncYM 1:28 mins 7.E.1.2 Explain how the cycling of water in and out of the atmosphere and atmospheric conditions relate to the weather patterns on Earth resource: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaDkph9yQBs 5:52 mins 7.E.1.3 Explain the relationship between the movement of air masses, high and low pressure systems, and frontal boundaries of storms resource: air masses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QGZyfJmQbE 1:16 mins Frontal boundaries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuyyilOJrb4 1:31 mins Jet stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gd__PiquUoo 1:24 mins 7.E.1.4 Predict weather conditions and patterns based on information obtained from: weather data collected from direct observations and measurement (wind speed and direction, air temperature, humidity and air pressure); weather maps, satellites and radar; cloud shapes and types and associated elevation.
